The word of God today is:
Psalm 80
New International Version
1 Hear us, Shepherd of Israel,
you who lead Joseph like a flock.
You who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine forth before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh.
Awaken your might;
come and save us.
Sometimes to know God's plan, we all need tobe still. I heard a talk by a Capuchin priest who talked about "Calvary blessings". It is a phrase that all of us need to contempate upon.
I heard another talk by another Capuchin priest, who talked about " joyous poverty". In retrospection, I feel all of us are poor at something. Let God inspire us to feel the joy at what we are poor at!
Today I was reading about an Archangel Azrael who could help us when we do counsel others for grief or even when we write an eulogy for a bereaved family member. Sometimes God gives grief in our lives so that we become better helpers.
Another thought that was in my mind this morning is the way of life. Sometimes we accumulate too many dresses or unwanted stuff that it becomes a mess for us to organise our home. If we have only the essential items at home and do the recycling at a conscious level, we would need less shelves or wardrobes and thus will have a more open space in our homes for the good energy to flow inside.It is like this Bible verse," My grace is sufficient for you".
