Goodevening!
from the book,"" Tough times never Last, But Tough people Do!""by Robert H. Schuller....
Illuminate
Illuminate your mind. Get smart and then get smarter. Ask yourself some questions:
""Has any other person faced my problem and overcome it?""
""What really is my problem anyway?""
""Is my problem unemployment or early retirement?""
""Is it a lack of money to meet my needs, or is it boredom?""
""Could I solve the problem of boredom by volunteering to work in my church or community organizations?"" My own father enjoyed his retirement becuase he was always volunteering to repair things in the houses of people who lived in his town.
If you think your problem is finances, think again. Is it really finances, or is it a problem of managing what you have? You probably need to pare down some of the expenses that you have taken for granted. Remember: Nobody has a money problem: it is always an idea problem.
My youngest daughter, Gretchen, is taking driving lessons. She will soon be sixteen and will have her driver's license. Her teacher tells her that she has to learn to drive with the IPDE method: Identify, Predict, Decide, Execute.
Her teacher explained:"" As you are driving down the street, identify the other moving vehicles. Predict what they are going to do and when they are going to do it. Decide how you will respond and react to their behavior. Execute your response decisevely and forthrightly.""
The IPDE prescription can help you face a variety of problems. Identigy the problem. Predict what this problem will do to you if you don''t do anything about it. Decide on your response from all of the options and alternatives. Then, execute and act on the most positive option that you can imagine.
Have a blessed day!
