Good afternoon!
FRom a book by Doreen, I quote...
Saint Padre Pio
(Catholic)
Also known as Francesco Forgione, Padre Pio
Born Francesco Forgione on May 25, 1887, in Naples, Italy, Francesco changed his name to Pio,which means ""Pius"" when he entered the Capuchin monastery at age 16. Padre Pio began experiencing the stigmata-a condition characterised by pain, open wounds, or blood appearing on the same places on the bodywhere Jesus was impaled with nails and a thorny crown. The stigmata wounds and blood remained visible for the next 50 years.
Many have verified miraculous healings associated with Padre Pio both during his mortal life and beyond. He's renowned for helping the blind to see and healing various injuries and seemingly incurable ailments. During his life, Padre Pio was able to bilocate, levitate, and accurately predict the future. He also founded a hospital and a series of prayer groups.
Saint Padre Pio is a very spirited divinity with a lot of enthusiasm, joy, and a persona that reveals his deep faith and optimism. He has an infectious and optimistic outlook, and just by calling him, you're likely to feel uplifted.
From a book by,""Thich Nhat Hanh""....
Leading by example
When I was in INdia, a number of years ago, I met Mr. K.R.Narayanan when he was the president of the Indian Parliamnet. We spoke about the practice of deep listening and compassionate dialogue in legislative bodies. I said that in any work environement, including a legislative assembly could become a community motivated by mutual understanding and compassion. If we create a healthy and nourishing work community, we are modeling the kind of environment we want to create in the world.
Have a blessed day....
