hello to all my readers! Hello Annie, Did you know that EWTN hosts online televised Mass every day of the year? We understand that the Church is inherently sacramental, and it is best to attend Mass in-person. However, when you are unable to go to your local parish, remember that you can watch Mass with the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word every day of the year. In addition to the daily Mass video, our website features the readings of the day so that you can read along with us. We have also created a special free eBook to help you join the Universal Church throughout the world in singing the praises of the Lord as we pray and sing together, united in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass via EWTN. This eBook will guide you, both in English and Latin, through the daily Mass offered at EWTN. If you would like to receive the free Global Televised Mass Guide eBook, please visit this page: https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/daily-readings We hope these resources e

hello to all my readers! from a book on aromatherapy the properties of essential oils are what make them so beneficial. While most of them smell pleasant, that is just a byproduct of their real benefit. the term essential oil may sound simple, but they are actualky complucated chemical compounds. the ingerdeients in essential oils are organic because they consist of a molecule structure. this structure is made of carbon atoms and bound by hydrogen atoms. in some essential oils there may also be oxygen, nitrogen, and sulphur atoms. By familarizing yourself with the chemical makeup of essential oiks you can understand how they might benefit your heakth. in turn you will also be able to understand why sone oiks are hazardous. have a goodevening!

hello to all my readers! View as a web page or listen online. FRANCISCAN FRIARS of the ATONEMENT™ THIS WEEK’S REFLECTION FROM FR. BOB WARREN, SA Divider TWENTY NINTH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME – OCTOBER 22, 2023 VOLUME 9 ISSUE 43 NO TIME TO READ? Listen to Fr. Bob's audio reflection. - Listen Now The past few weeks, Jesus has told us parables. Listeners see Jesus on the attack. In our Gospel today, the Pharisees have had enough. They plan a counterattack. They direct a carefully formulated question at Jesus, and begin by flattering Him. They call Him a teacher. “We know you are a truthful Man and follow God’s way.” Then as the crowd looks on, they ask, “Is it lawful to pay tax to Caesar or not?” The crowd must have fallen silent at that. Because this was a loaded question; a no-win situation for Jesus. If He had said they should pay tribute to Caesar, He would lose credibility with the Jews. If He had said it was wrong to pay Caesar, he would be committing a public act of tre

Hello to all my readers! Islands are important: they make up about a sixth of the Earth's land area, and a quarter of all countries are island nations. Depending on what's considered an island and what's merely an 'islet',there are upto 20,000 of them in our oceans, lakes and rivers. Due to their isolation, many species have evolved differently to their mainland counterparts, as Charles Darwin came to realise on his voyage to the Galapagos. Madagascar Separated from the mainland for 88 million years, there's been plenty of time for life to evolve in uniqueways on this tropical island. More than 90% of species can be found nowhere else, including lemurs, almost 1,000 species of orchids, more than 100 types of fish, more than half of the world's chameleon species and around 300 frog species. Because of this astonishing richness, Madagascar is sometimes referred to as the world's eighth continent. 'Traveller's tree' This enormous fanlike tre

hello to all my readers! from the book by Doreen Virtue calked, the the courage to be creative.... someone once asked me why, if I realky hear angels, I have been divorced. The answer I gave is that there's a big difference between hearing the anfels and listening to them: # With hearing, you get the message. You're aware that your anfels are guiding you to, for example, improve your diet. # With listening, you actually do sometjimg about it. when I got married( and even before ), I definitely heard my anfeks cautioning me not to do it.I also noticed the red-flag warnings that my partner wasn't appropriate. But being the raised-on-fairy-tales romantic that I am, I overrode the messages. Looking back, i xan see that I was both wilful and also in a romantic fog, inaginkng that things would get vetter after marriage.I didn't listen, got married, and ended up divorced. the angels were right. they always are.Now I do my best ti listen to them and put their guidance inti

hello to all my readers! the right tools to this day, millions of peoplehave tried the same kinds of marvelous ideas, with the same results. Of those, few of them actually stayed with it. I applaud those who have. But I feeldeeply for those who could not,had somewhere inside themselves, wanted to achieve just as much as those who did. They just didn't have the right tools. they didn't find a way ti improve themselves that would work for them. maybe they weren't as dedicated as the few who did succeed. Maybe the other commitments in their lives got in the way. But they wanted to achieve, and if they had found the right way to do it,they would have. how, then, can anygood and true idea which clearly could improve our lot in life, hope to succeed when few of us have the time, physical energu, or mental energu left over even to give it a try? the answer to that question isvery important.it is the answer which willmake one good idea work when another will not:For anyself-improv

hello to all my readers! Many parents can identify with the Gospel today. Jesus is not speaking about wayward children. He is speaking about the Chief Priests and the Elders. They were very upset with Jesus. After all, they were the ones of recognized authority. They were the ones with all the religious training. They were the learned ones who kept the Law of Moses. Jesus tells them that tax collectors and prostitutes will enter into the Kingdom before them. He tells them that they are like the son who tells the father that he will go and work in the vineyard, but does not. They had agreed to serve the Lord. That was the point and intent of their preparation and training as religious leaders. But, instead they were often found frustrating the Will of Father God. More interested in laws and rules. While the poor, the widows and orphans went begging in the street, the public sinners - the ones who at first said no to God - were the ones who listened to Jesus and followed Him. While Jes

Goodevening! From the book by Doreen.... The ego tries to convince us that if we feel like a bad person, that means we are a bad person. The truth, though, is that it's the ego making us feel that way. In spiritual truth, we're as awesome as our Creator-because we're made in the image and likeness of our Creator. It takes courage to look within. There's a deep seated fear that we won't like what we find, and that all of those fears of being unlovable will be substantiated. When we hang on to secrets that we feel ashamed about, those feelings of shame are like a monster inside of us. There's also a fear of finding nothingness when you look inside. This is especially true if you've had to adapt in your life because of an abusive upbringing or a chaotic life. Adapting means that you learn how to conform, cope, and get along. However, it also means that you forget who you really are, and you lose touch with your true self and honest opimions. Have a goodnigh

Hello to all my readers! From the book,"" What to say when you talk to your self""" I reinforced my decision with a few simple lines of Situational Self-Talk: I enjoy relaxing while I am driving in the car. I always give myself the necessary amount of time to get anywhere I am going. I always arrive at- or before- the time I need to be there. Traffic lights change at their own direction: not mine. If the light changes before I get there, I will stop, wait for the light to change, and relax while I am waiting. Slow-moving or standing traffic is not a problem to me. I now enjoy the time I have to organize my thoughts and think about those things which are beneficial to me. I will get there when I get there. The self-suggestions took hold. A few times since then, on the way to an airport, a little behind schedule, I have had to consciously restate my Self-Talk. But since that day I have felt differently when I drive. Was it a difficult change to make? No. Cou
