would like to share with my readers an article I wrote few years back!
Rainbow Children
Children are a bundle of joy and sunshine and rainbows to be cherished and nurtured. When we shower them with love, they grow in love. When we shower them with happiness, they grow in happiness. Every colour in a rainbow means something. Violet children have the clarity of the mind. Indigo children are a special breed. Blue children are children of the skies and the oceans. Green children are those of the Mother Nature and healers. Yellow children are like the sunflowers of the field with a sunny disposition. Orange children are those of light and peace and red children are those of love and passion.
All these children are like the stars of the sky during the night and flowers of the field during the day. They need to be taught to communicate with the vast expanse of the galaxy. They need to be taught to communicate with the green nature around them. They need to be taught to communicate with the waters of the oceans.
They need to be taught to communicate with the trees and animals and birds of the forests. Children can be taught to view through telescopes…the night sky. It can reveal its own message to the children. With its constellations and planets and morning stars, it’s a beautiful way to relax your mind and body and heart for children in this chaotic world in the midst of their academic studies and extracurricular activities. It will be a scientific experiment for children to study the principles of Physics and Nature as well. They can learn to work in the fields of flowers …grow fruit gardens and do some fruit picking during the proper seasons and also grow vegetable patches. As I read in an article about a lady in Australia, who does farming during the days and encourages people to do star gazing in her fields during the nights…it’s a great idea.
Oceans are something beautiful…children can be taught to do various activities in the waters, without causing pollution. That includes swimming, walking along the beach in barefoot in the sands, surfing, watching the dolphins dance as we go into deep waters and see the seagulls flying in the horizons.
Learning the music of nature and communicating with birds and animals is a wonderful art. Children can be taught to do that too. Besides this, mathematics can be taught to children…the mathematics from nature. The Universal laws of physics and chemistry can be taught to children. The geography of earth is essential to learn.
Trekking trails on mountains…hiking paths nearer to every city so that children can enjoy nature without confinements. Children should have the freedom to roam around in natural spaces without worrying about the safety.
It’s a great idea to study the history of arts and culture and ancient monuments of architecture in different places of the world. The cave paintings and the arts of the natives of the places should be taught to children depending on their interest.
