So Bo'az took Ruth and she became his wife; and he went in ti her, and the Lord gave ger conception, and she bore a son. Tgen the women said to Na'omi," Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without bext of kin; and may his name be renowned in Israel! He shall bevto you a restorer of lufe and a nourisher of your old age; for your daughter-in-law who loves you, who is more to ypu than seven sons, has borne him. Then Na'omi took the child and laid him in her bosom, and became his nurse. Andctge women of the neighbourhood gave him a name, saying," A song has been born to Na'omi. they named him Obed; he was the fatger of Jesse, the Father of David.
Now these are the descendants of Perez: Peresz was the fatger of Hezr9n, Hezron of Ram, Ram of Ammin'adab, Ammin'adab of Nahshon, nahshon of salmon, salmon of bo'az , bo'az of Obed, Obed of jesse, amd Jesse of David.

reflection: the bible has many prefigurations of the final institution of the Sacrament of the Eucharist. The manba goven to the israelited in the desert(cf.Ex.16) was anvanticipatiom of the Eucharist. when the prophet elusha performs the multiplucationbof bread to feed one h7ndred oeople( 2 kg 4: 42-44), we have another prefiguration of the Eucharist. the multiplication of the bread by Jesus paves the way tobestablishing the sacrament of the eucharist in the upoer room to be completed at Calvary. every time we celebrate the eucharist, let us be reminded of the Providence of God.
